Laurie (Schroeder) Felderman starts her third year at the helm of the Peru State College volleyball team. Through the past two years, her team has compiled a 25-42 record. Last season, the Bobcats finished third in the North Division of the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) and competed against many ranked opponents in non-conference play.
Prior to Peru State, Felderman was a three-year assistant at Heart opponent, Clarke University, in Dubuque, Iowa. While at Clarke, Felderman assisted head coach Chris Miron to three consecutive 20-win seasons. As the head junior varsity coach, Felderman compiled a 23-13 record.
The Greenleaf, Wis., native has a variety of volleyball coaching experiences. Prior to her Clarke position, Felderman was an assistant coach at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill. In addition, she was an assistant volleyball coach at Wrightstown (Wisc.) High School and also served as a graduate assistant at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Also, Felderman served as the head coach of the Sky High Volleyball Club from 2010-2014.
Felderman completed her bachelor of science in exercise science at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wis., in 2006. In 2008, she completed her master's degree in sport administration from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. She is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Felderman resides in Lincoln with her husband Todd and dog Kona.
